“At the age of 22 I sat in a drug awareness group in HMP Exeter, I wanted to speak . . . but . . . the anxiety and fear that came from sounding stupid paralysed every muscle in my body . . . eventually . . . I summoned up the courage to talk . . .  no sooner had the words left my mouth, than the sweat began to roll down my forehead . . . I went bright red, wishing the ground could just swallow me up”.

My passion and expertise lie in the creation of confidence and overcoming adversity – Using negative situations to your advantage, creating benchmarks from fear. These can be used as a clear indicator, signalling your progress, every time you get a little bit further along the path.

“I learned public speaking in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous, week in week out, for over Eight years. I would walk in, help myself to a cup of tea and digestive biscuit, before taking my seat. I would then listen, when it was my turn, I would start to talk, being honest, open and vulnerable about my deepest, darkest secrets. The sort of stuff most would only share with a therapist, but in this instance . . . it was to a room full of strangers.

This was my training ground . . . over time this ingrained in me . . .  an unstoppable confidence”.
